Sukh Dev è un corto realizzato in una piazza di Lecce con un unico soggetto, Sukh Dev Singh, indiano venditore ambulante e clandestino che, in quella piazza, trascorre le sue giornate lavorative con il desiderio di poter un giorno ritornare nella sua terra natia.

La tecnica di ripresa adottata ricorda molto quella dei documentari di approfondimento prodotti da Rai3, costante anche del documentario “Italiavista” di Alessandra Del Drago, con la telecamera che indugia unicamente sul soggetto intervistato concedendo brevi divagazioni sull’ambiente circostante che permettono allo spettatore di calarsi nell’atmosfera.

Ho condiviso, con il suo autore, la sensazione che questo documentario mi ha trasmesso; quella di una sortà di serenità e tranquillità interiore, in una sorta di trance da meditazione.

Giuseppe Frisino mi ha confermato che, a lavoro finito, il loro obiettivo era proprio quello di riprodurre visivamente “un corner of India "this in Lecce.

Honestly it's the short film that impressed me most importantly, not a small thing, to the considerable potential that this group of kids has been shown to have.

Their work, in a rudimentary script of his teens, is a small cinematic gem.

The narrative simple and straightforward, involving a history of bullying among adolescents, become rich, thanks mainly to the beautiful photography that the cameramen, the various players in turn, were able to accomplish.

Anyone who has seen the film before Gomorrah "Here control I" can not avoid noticing the similarity of colors, shots, feeling the same sense of concern that the film inspired by the work of Saviano is able to provide.

At times it seemed that the streets and buildings of the district Bachelet, a set of most of the shooting, turns into the "sails" of Scampia and this, considering the theme of the short film, is an exceptional result achieved by the operators.

Furthermore, in a chase scene on foot, terrible kids were able to return to the scene Ridley Scott (director of Gladiator) with the camera "Shoulder" pure entertainment!

Excellent assembly, produced entirely in house, which showed no particular signs of smearing.

In short, if these guys were lucky to get more complex scripts (ed but how much is already done by them) may be able to set up works worthy of the Giffoni Film Festival.

The review by Salt & Light, then, culminating in a largely positive results both in terms of audience and the quality of the proposals and that, without any shadow of doubt, it should be given on all the boys and girls who have worked hard for this show spend time, study, sacrifice and passion.

We are sure that the happy faces of the spectators, constant every night, represent the most gratifying reward for their efforts.

The invitation is to continue on this road an increasingly widespread belief that they already acquired, that culture is nothing but a passion and care that the same, being foreign to it any function of an educational, not may be imposed by anyone but is created through the daily work.
